Victoria Scarborough and Carlao Teixiera are artist/performers who together
have developed a unique style of teaching. They use as tools the movements,
theatre and music of the Afro/Brazilian Art form, Capoeira.
Victoria Scarborough, a classically trained actress who studied at RADA,
has been a student of Capoeira for nearly ten years since her passion
for the art form was ignited after experiencing it in its native land
of Rio De Janeiro.
As a performer Victoria has found a liberation through the physical
and vocal aspects of Capoeira – instilling a great connection with one’s
self, work and general courage in the world. Victoria has a wide experience
of teaching Capoeira at The Actors Centre, Sure Start Womens Group,
Youth Offending Team, Chisenhale Dance Space, and for her own organisation
Kabula Capoeira.
