In addition to the BBC Alec has also worked as presenter, journalist, news writer and programme maker at Radio Riviera, Monaco; Blue Danube Radio, Vienna; Channel 2 TV Riyadh; Central Office of Information, London; LBC, London; BFBS, London; Chiltern Radio and Southern Sound.
Prior to working as a journalist Alec worked as an actor in theatre, television, cinema, radio, commercials and voice-overs. Alec has been the Voice and Presentation Trainer at the BBC World Service since 2001. He runs Presentation Workshops and gives One to One training to British and foreign journalists and others at Bush House, London. He has also worked in the BBC as a trainer in radio production and announcing.
